Jones Foster Attorney Richard C. Vaughan Elected to Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council’s Board of Directors
Jones Foster, a commercial and private client law firm with offices in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, and Jupiter, is pleased to announce that private wealth and tax attorney Richard C. Vaughan has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council (PBCEPC) for the 2026-2027 term, effective July 1, 2026.
As a member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Vaughan will help support the organization’s mission of advancing collaboration and professional development among estate planning professionals throughout South Florida. In this role, he will contribute to the planning of continuing education programming, networking events, and roundtable discussions designed to keep members informed on emerging trends and developments in estate planning, trust and wealth management, taxation, charitable giving, and related disciplines.
Mr. Vaughan’s appointment to the PBCEPC Board of Directors further reflects his commitment to professional engagement and education within the legal community. He is one of only three attorneys statewide to be selected to participate in the prestigious Fellowship Program of The Florida Bar Tax Section and is a member of the Transfer Tax Subcommittee of the Section’s Washington D.C. Committee, where he has co-authored peer-reviewed White Papers addressing proposed legislative and regulatory reforms submitted to federal agencies and congressional representatives. He also serves on the Philanthropic Advisory Council of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties and is an active member of the Planned Giving Council of Palm Beach County.
Richard Vaughan is a member of Jones Foster’s Private Wealth, Wills, Trusts & Estates and Corporate & Tax teams and concentrates his practice in estate planning, trust and estate administration, business planning, and transactional corporate law.
Mr. Vaughan develops comprehensive estate plans for individuals and families to efficiently preserve their assets, including the use of revocable and irrevocable trusts, and handles all aspects of estate and trust administration from probate matters to estate and gift tax return preparation. He also assists clients with structuring and maintaining tax exempt organizations and charitable gift planning.
Mr. Vaughan is experienced in creating and maintaining corporate structures within the context of a client’s estate plan, including drafting operating agreements, buy-sell agreements, entity restructuring, and related agreements among shareholders and partners. He provides personalized solutions to meet his clients’ business succession goals.
